Meridian Wildlife Services is seeking a Full-Time Business Development Manager to join our team!
Description:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing existing customer relationships as well as prospecting and developing new business in large national accounts.
This role is highly relational. The most impactful responsibility inside this position relies on the candidate's ability to build and maintain good relationships and trust with high-ranking executives at large, national organizations.
Responsibilities:
  • Contact prospective and existing customers to assess current needs.
  • Drive top-line revenue growth to meet and exceed all sales targets quarterly and annually.
  • Assist with high priority requests and/or issue escalations as needed.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving for customers and company.
  • Completing administrative work as required.
  • Become knowledgeable and proficient in the bird capture process to effectively communicate the value of what we do for our customers.
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings as needed.
  • Visit work sites to better understand our services and serve our customers.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Lives within 75 miles of Roanoke/Christiansburg, VA.
  • Ability to work with employees across the US.
  • Ability to achieve objectives and goals in a team environment.
  • Proven outside sales experience (B2B).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Pleasant and professional telephone presence.
  • Must have have the ability to work remotely (reliable internet connection, designated work space, etc.).
  • Must be available to travel by plane or vehicle to visit work sites and customers up to 35% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful sales of a service or service-oriented product.
  • Excellent organization/time management skills.
  • Good business and financial acumen.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and produce from remote work location.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary of 45k + uncapped commission. Earning potential of 75k + annually (base + commission).
