NOTE: THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN ZWOLLE, LA AND WOULD REQUIRE RELOCATION.

Purpose:

Coordinate and conduct all activities that lead to maximizing guest attendance.

Scope:

This position requires a detailed understanding and execution of tasks required to promote a family resort and amusement park as a destination location.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Development (Strategy, client relationships, etc.)

· Collaborate with ownership and management to understand the vision and goal of all elements of the resort.

· Organize, execute, and track all marketing and business development efforts.

· Coordinate and oversee external marketing activities (i.e.; social media, online, radio, print, etc.) to ensure all activities are in sync.

· Conduct local, regional, or national socio-economic studies to assess potential development opportunities and uncover future trends.

· Communicate all marketing efforts to key staff to ensure a unified understanding of the organization’s goals.

· Provide broad oversight for all operational activities, working through the group/area managers.

· Make suggestions to improve business development and operational processes to maximize guest attendance and positive experience.

Qualifications:

·3 years’ experience managing an family entertainment center, amusement park, or similar operation.

· Ability to maintain a visible and credible leadership role.

·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.

· Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

·Ability to handle complex problems and make timely decisions.
· Formal training in the hospitality industry or, commensurate experience required.

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb all day. The employee may need to occasionally lift or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work will depend on facility operation and scheduling needs. Overtime may be required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Venue & Attractions Associates: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Supervising experience: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Amusement or Water park: 1 year (Required)
