What You’ll Do

This is an exciting opportunity to join the world class Cisco legal operations team. The team continues to drive transformation in legal operations, demonstrating our pioneering work and deep expertise in building out tools and capabilities to enable our Legal Department to scale - through innovation and insights. We are looking for a leader to partner with our existing teams and focus on:

Validating the overall business design and architecture of our platforms and tools. We have incredible teams who deploy a wide range of technologies, and your role is to partner with those teams to ensure we always enable the biggest picture and opportunity as we work with stakeholders, vendors, our own team and IT to deploy compelling solutions;

Understanding the external market and internal Cisco trends. There has never been a more dynamic innovation environment in the legal industry. Working with other operations/IT leaders in Cisco, our law firms, other leading companies, colleges and universities, at established vendors and startups, your role will be to understand the markets, facilitate securing (and where vital represent) Cisco’s point of view and help craft an ecosystem that brings phenomenal value to Cisco and the legal industry at large;

Capturing and operationalizing our own functional goals. We are a client focused team – their success is our success. That said, our effectiveness requires continuous assessment of the goals we set for ourselves, ensuring that we implement effectively as a team.

Leading continuous improvement, training and leadership initiatives to ensure we continue to evolve and have meaningful impact globally; and

In all aspects of the role, you will partner closely with senior leadership to drive accountability and achieve measurable objectives. The role is people, data and communications intensive; it requires excellent leadership, critical thinking, independence, organizational excellence, data analysis, presentation and communication skills. And you need a sense of fun, perspective, creativity and to be a standout colleague, hungry to dive into a wide variety of hands on work.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a leader with deep experience of systems’ deployment, an understanding of technology in the legal market and broader understanding of legal practice. Although not a requirement, experience practicing in or exposure to an inhouse legal department or a law firm environment would be an advantage. You will also have broad project management/program management experience, a deep understanding of data, analytics and insights and strong organizational capabilities. An advanced ability to use Microsoft tools is foundational to success, and design thinking, agile development certifications/experience would be an advantage in the role.
