Partner, Infosys Consulting – SAP Energy / Utilities Practice

The Role:
Infosys Consulting (IC) is seeking to hire an experienced, motivated and entrepreneurially minded SAP Consulting Leader with Utilities experience to join our SAP and Oracle Practice.

The SAP/Oracle Partner must have a deep expertise in CIS and ERP. Experience selling and leading the delivery of SAP/Oracle transformation programs for Utility clients. Good understanding of the Utility industry challenges and how SAP S/4 and Oracle can help clients realize value from their digital transformation.

Required Expertise - Needs to have 20+ years of end-to-end SAP and Oracle implementation experience with Utility companies. Needs to have a current understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and Oracle. Needs to demonstrate thought leadership in leading SAP and Oracle solutions for Utility companies. Needs prior hands-on SAP and Oracle Implementation experience and Engagement Delivery Partner experience.

The successful candidate will have experience as a client-facing consulting executive and successful consulting partner, with executive presence and credibility to help clients from strategy through execution leveraging SAP S/4 and Oracle.

The role will be based in one of our US hub offices, preferably Houston.

Responsibilities:
Drive Client Relationships: Identify, build and strengthen professional relationships with senior and C-level client executives, and expand professional network in client organizations. Be well acquainted with clients’ business situations, able to speak on behalf of the clients’ best interests, or offer countering views of the client executives’, if necessary. Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interfacing on engagement-level client concerns.
Opportunity Identification/ Creation: Play an active role in driving lead generation activities, soliciting new accounts and capturing competitive pursuits. Create/ identify multi-million dollar opportunities using industry knowledge, intellectual capital, background in potential problem areas, knowledge of the shifting market landscape, and Infosys services offerings in order to create engagement opportunities.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with other consulting leaders to prepare large proposals and program plans, identify Infosys differentiators, articulate value proposition, review and fine tune the financials, and lead proposal presentations in order to create a compelling proposition for the client to engage Infosys.
Engagement Delivery and Management: Guide projects through thought leadership and active partner participation. Depending on project size, this can involve managing a portfolio of projects or be a full time delivery partner on a large-scale transformation. Review progress periodically with the team and client sponsor / executives. Provide review support and guidance for the engagement lead, intervene when necessary to resolve issues escalated. Maintain active participation in the details of the program, and have a positive impact on the outcome. In addition, support other projects as a part time QA Partner.
Recruiting: Plan headcount distribution, identify upcoming skill needs and potential sourcing pools, interview candidates, influence a favorable perception of Infosys as an employer, and decide on offer details to ensure that the practice has the appropriate skills required.
Build a High-Performing Team: Be accountable for on-boarding new team members into the practice and/ or project teams. Provide executive-level oversight, communication and guidance to the team to build high morale and position programs for successful, effective client delivery.
Talent Management: Demonstrate the ability to attract, retain and develop top consulting talent and the next generation of Infosys Consulting leaders. Actively assess the skills required to deliver current and next-generation consulting solutions, and ensure that personal development plans are effected to meet the demands within our existing consulting organization.
Strategic Visioning: Determine and implement strategy for North America SAP in Energy and Resources – where to focus and how to win in this market. Develop strategies to position Infosys Consulting within current and prospective clients.
Business Planning: Collaborate with practice leaders, line partners and Infosys sales partners to support the business plan for the practice, estimate sales potential, identify key clients, identify alliance partner collaboration opportunities, and actively contribute to the business planning of the group.

Knowledge Management: Identify and drive the creation of multi-format knowledge assets that present our latest insights and document our credentials with lessons learned. Collaborate with IC Global Marketing to drive consumption of these assets, elevate our reputation as thought leaders and advance the quality of client service. Oversee global practice-level knowledge management activities to lead and propagate a knowledge management culture within management consulting services.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15 years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience
  • Experience leading SAP S/4 transformation programs for Energy / Resources clients.
  • Consulting experience with expert-level knowledge in the Energy / Resources Sector. Must have worked at Big 4 or equivalent firm. Must be able to build relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.B.A or equivalent advanced degree
  • 20+ years of leadership experience, with strong sales/relationship management/account management experience with an industry or service offering focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to expand services and revenue within a client. Prefer to have worked with large Energy clients: ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, Total, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, etc.
  • Variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience; experience managing large, multi-location consulting engagement teams is desirable.
  • Global Delivery Model experience
