DESCRIPTION:
At ttg Talent Solutions we are looking for a Business Applications Specialist for one of our best clients highly specialized in the hurricane protection business.
The person is responsible for managing the business applications (both SAAS and on-premise) supporting the business units and functions, including Sales, Operations, and Admin. The Specialist will install, upgrade, and maintain business applications, as well as lead implementation of new enterprise applications. Responsibilities also include training end users, interpreting end-user needs, and communicating those needs to application vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Application Management
  • Assess business process requirements by analyzing the structure and flow of the departments' work to identify possible application solutions.
  • Manage the installation and testing of new business applications.
  • Assure that business applications and modules are kept current. Manage existing application upgrades and new application implementations, including leading cross-departmental teams during the upgrade/implementation process. Working closely with Managed Service Provider.
  • For new applications that are introduced to the organization: create, develop, and oversee protocols and procedures for usage.
  • Maintain an application documentation library.
  • Provide technical support related to application software systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Create processes and protocols for application acquisition.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest software enhancements and develop ways that existing applications can be utilized to make the Port more efficient.
  • Maintain general knowledge of the structure as it relates to business applications.
Staff Training
  • Provide new hire staff training on the business applications.
  • Provide ongoing training and training opportunities for all software end-users.
Other Duties
  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Provide desktop support as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Work Experience:
  • Two (2) years’ experience in supporting enterprise software for a small public or private service business.
  • Experience leading cross-departmental teams to implement new enterprise software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices. Experience with database management.
  • Familiarity with Project management principles.
  • Experience with information systems troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
