JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the business analysis and coordination of new interface projects. Ensures the stakeholder requirements are clearly translated into product specifications, which provides clear scope to the product development team. Works with stakeholders to document current and future state workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) New Interface Development

• Collaborates with internal and external customers, software engineers, etc. to interview, research, analyze, and derive business requirements for new interfaces
• Translates business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications
• Maintains and updates shared files, notes, training materials, etc., and documents all nuances within each new interface.
• Participates in the design and testing phases, including design and testing of prototypes and orchestration and sign-off on acceptance test results to ensure design integrity
• Assists in gathering and uploading data related to new interfaces, including insurance and procedure compendiums.
• Creates, validates and/or executes acceptance tests and documents results while assisting the entire organization throughout the new interface development lifecycle

(15%) Interface Support

• Acts as liaison between our external partners and our internal software development team
• Assists in researching interface issues/errors as needed.
• Researches and answers questions from users regarding system applications
• Assists in preparing documentation and information for new interface releases
• Helps business units to prioritize defects
• Participates in management of new interface backlogs and functionality requests
• Prepares user guides and instructional documentation

(5%) Performs other tasks and projects as assigned

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience in related field
• 5+ years of experience working as a Business or Systems Analyst on customer facing, preferably browser-based applications
• Experience with HL7 code
• Knowledge of how data flows through the healthcare infrastructure, including RIS, EMR and PACS systems.
• Experience defining requirements or designing data-focused or analytical applications
• Experience in health care data processing and clinical workflow
• Knowledge of Hospital Information System domains
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

• Experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, and ServiceNow, or similar products
• Experience with healthcare industry software design or product management
• Experience with Agile or Iterative development methodologies
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Position will be 99% remote, with occasional in-person team meetings
• Requires use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones
• Requires computer-related activities for extended periods of time
• Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key
• May require some lifting, bending and stooping
