Position Summary:
Business Analysts in Carrier Data Services (CDS) works closely with the business and technical teams at our carrier partners. The Business Analyst ensures that there is integration between business and technology. They serve as the subject matter expert of our carriers' data needs. This person understands the carrier's data requirements, system editing processes, and priorities. They understand Gallagher Bassett's Risx-Facs system capabilities for data transfer parameters and file capabilities. They have a solid understanding of Gallagher Bassett's standard and custom data transfer process. They are knowledgeable on any customization of a carrier's data mapping, and how the carrier uses our data.
The Business Analyst works with our Data Analysts, IT, Carrier Practices liaisons, Account Management, and other internal departments to prioritize deliverables and negotiate on product functionalities. They understand the development processes of GB and our carrier partners. The Business Analyst is the first point of contact for carriers for their data needs. This role requires an analytical approach, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as CDS subject matter expert for internal and external requests, assignments, and projects.
• Anticipate client and carrier needs when providing consultation and collaboration for successful setups and resolutions.
• Works independently and acts as the point person for assigned clients or projects.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to Risx-Facs and CDS applications.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, findings and recommendations to internal and external clients.
• Represent CDS as needed in corporate initiatives.
• Serve as backup to Lead Analyst.

Required:

• A minimum 4 years work experience, with a minimum 2 years experience working in a data services capacity.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in required system and computer applications.
• High School diploma.

Desired:

• 2-4 years experience in the insurance or claims industry preferred.
• Highly analytical individual with advanced proficiency in Excel.
