Responsibilities:
- Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
- Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed.
- General carpentry installations and maintenance
- Group homes, Commercial, Hospitals, Medical, Schools
Requirements:
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
- Experience with construction.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must have knowledge of current NYC building codes.
- Must be able to work as part of a team of 4-8 carpenters.
- Must have 5+ years of carpentry/carpentry helper in commercial projects.
- Must effectively communicate with others and maintain focus in a busy environment.
- Must be able to work neatly and keep job sites organized.
- Must be willing to learn.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have own basic carpentry tools.
- The ability to read blueprints is a must.
- OSHA 40 is required.
- Experience working on hospitals or medical facility projects is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and own vehicle/truck is a plus.
