Job Overview

The Brand Champion – Cleanliness, works as a Housekeeper while partnering with the hotel General Manager complete additional inspections, training, and coaching to provide the highest standards of cleanliness in all guest rooms. He or she must work to promote safety in all guest areas by following strict procedures with respect to passkeys, entry to guestrooms, and reporting any suspicious activity. The Brand Champion - Cleanliness will be the cheerleader of NHS, the brand and an above and beyond cleanliness experience for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete Room Inspection of all Elite rooms prior to check in.
• Required to come in one hour earlier than housekeeping team and to complete an inspection of all vacant, ready rooms to ensure they are truly guest ready.
• The Brand Champion – Cleanliness will work in partnership with the General Manager to train and execute all of the items in the Cleanliness toolkit at their property.
• Attend all required training and update calls as required by the Strategy team.
• Complete all Brand training related to cleanliness.
• Performing cleaning and sanitizing procedures in guest rooms that include changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathroom.
• Responding to guest requests for assistance and information about guest rooms and the hotel.
• Providing exemplary guest service by demonstrating a personal commitment to making every guest satisfied.
• Care for all uniforms, equipment and supplies issued by management.
• Communicate with staff as directed on the status of all cleaned room.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas as directed.
• Report any observed damage, unusual happenings, and safety concerns to management.
• Maintain a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies.
• Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest question and/or concerns.
• Care for lost and found items as directed by the General Manager.
• Ensure that no occupied room is left open and unattended when being serviced.
• Under all circumstances, reaches towards calmness, tact and creativity to ensure the continued confidence of the public and co-workers
• Assist in maintaining a workplace that is comfortable, clean, and fun.
• Lead by example, follows direction and ensures all aspects of the operation are met and delivered.
• Promptly report all maintenance concerns and follow up on repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be energetic, friendly, and extremely motivated to provide above and beyond experiences for all guests
• Able to complete additional training as needed to ensure full understanding of NHS Service Culture and the brand
• Previous business/commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting performance standards.
• Able to quickly adapt to change.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform physical requirements including, but not limited to:
  • Standing/Walking 95% or more of a normal 8-hour work shift.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull and carry approximately 25 lbs.
