Essential duties and responsibilities:

Summary: The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with the Community Outreach and Admissions teams to coordinate transportation for clients seeking admittance into MnTC’s residential programs. Since this role is often the first person that clients interact with as they come into MnTC, it also helps assuage concerns, answer questions, and sets the tone for client intakes into MnTC.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides transportation for men and women seeking admission into the MnTC programs from county jails, detox centers, hospitals, community locations and other locations as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintains documentation for transports for statewide reporting in Scorecard.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor including but not limited to answering Jail Line phone calls, support processing applications for the Jail Admissions team, support Outreach representatives as needed by coordinating receipt of required documentation.
  • Within 6 months, provides peer recovery support services to those in transport to MnTC.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Ability to successfully complete background check process.
  • A person living in recovery from substance use; a minimum of 2 years demonstrated freedom from substance use disorder.
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, or eligible for certification within 6 months
  • Ability to work independently, with scheduled supervision
  • Possesses empathy, and strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CRM’s are preferred.
  • Great time management skills.
