The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Boys & Girls Club Program Aide in Glen Burnie, Maryland under the Central Maryland Area Command, Potomac Division.

Position Summary
Plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must enjoy working with children, must possess good communication, an outgoing personality, and speak/write English fluently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D.AND previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred AND commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.

Licenses and Certifications
First Aid and C.P.R. Certification (or ability to obtain)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
Ability to drive a vehicle safely and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.

Duties are usually performed standing and walking and relieved by periods of sitting to perform other duties.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) frequently.

Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
