Job Summary
Repairs and inspects biomedical equipment under direct supervision of BMET leader. Documents work on department forms and reports any problems or discrepancies to the leader or manager.- Performs scheduled tests to comply with TJC, CMS, and DHEC. 30%
- Performs acceptance tests on new equipment to verify proper safe operation. 30%
- Assists in installation of medical equipment to obtain more reliable/safe operation. Recognizes unsafe operation and/or practices with themselves or medical staff and reports to the BMET Leader. 30%
- Researches alternate vendors for parts and/or repairs for cost savings. 10%

Driving is required for this position using a Prisma Health vehicle. Team members will be expected to adhere to the Prisma Health Driver Safety Policy and specific department driving policies. Team members must pass driver training.
Completion of a BMET internship in a hospital setting (prior to hire) preferred
