As a Billing Supervisor, you will provide front-line supervisory support for a team of Billing Specialists, providing support, motivation, and creative means of inspiring them to perform at peek potential to earn optimum pay. You will also establish rapport and identify obstacles in the skills development of subordinates and perform leadership responsibilities.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Ensures the accurate and timely processing of freight bills for an assigned region.
• Counsels Billing Specialists offering redirection and recognition when appropriate.
• Motivates Billing Specialist through the design and implementation of incentives and the establishment of realistic individual goals.
• Maintains various production and quality reports.
• Maintains accurate records of customer billing requirements.
• Monitors workflow to ensure equitable disbursement of workload.
• Uses independent judgment to hire, promote, or discipline subordinates or to adjust their grievances.
• Responsible for making independent supervisory decisions concerning subordinates and responsible for making shared decisions concerning department and team processes.
• Responsible for interacting with all leadership within Central Billing. Interacts with service center Operations leadership and personnel (mainly outbound associates) and interacts with various Support Center departments as needed.

• A High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of freight bill entry experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective communication skills
• Intermediate typing skills
• Effective coaching skills
• Detailed knowledge of the freight bill entry process
