Billing Specialist II – Family Care

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Billing Specialist II.

Work location: 3024 State Hwy 121, Bedford, TX 76021

Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Here’s What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Two years of billing experience in a health care environment (required)

A successful Billing Specialist II:

• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrate effective customer service and communication skills.
• Must have proficient computer skills, with the ability to learn internal application systems.
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
• Knowledge of third-party billing and third-party payer requirements preferred.
• General understanding of health insurance and medical costs.
• Working knowledge of industry standard medical coding conventions preferred.

What You Will Do

Coordinate copies of medical documentation with physician charges to support billing to third-party payers.
File and enter billing for patients into system and analyzes patient accounts to ensure billing is accurate.
Resolve routine patient billing inquiries and problems, handling follow-up questions from patients, resolving discrepancies or errors.
Review medical coding as necessary and enters patient charges into billing applications.
Performs charge reconciliation to ensure that all charges have been captured and entered appropriately. Maintains documentation to record/track discrepancies. Participates in special projects and completes other duties as assigned (e.g., Accounts Receivable & Denials management processes).
