Billing Clerk job description

We're looking for a reliable, hard-working Billing Clerk to join our team and take on responsibility for creating invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers and clients.

Billing Clerk duties and responsibilities and qualifications

• Familiarize/access all customer website portals for invoice payment status.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify AR issues and make recommendations on how to resolve.
• Communicate with internal and external customers on past due invoices.
• Knowledge of all customer invoice requirements/documentation needed for invoice payment.
• Ensure no invoice reaches 90 days past due status.
• Invoice credit and debit process and post transactions to accounting software.
• Collect BOL/ POD from drivers
• Deliver invoices and bills and to customers
• Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
• Send reminders for payments and contact customers when needed
• Answer customer inquiries
• Create reports and present to managers

Billing Clerk requirements and qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Billing Clerk or similar role
• Understanding of law and legal procedures relating to accounting
• Hands-on experience with accounting computer programs such as Quickbooks
• Excellent math skills
• Computer literacy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• High school diploma
• Further education is a plus
• Arabic language is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
