SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday day shift. Five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days. Hybrid schedule available (split between remote and in-office).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure timely and accurate claims are submitted to third party payors; including processing of

claim edits, submission of initial claims, claim corrections, and claim rejections.

Responsible for timely and accurate insurance accounts receivable follow up within assigned

split; reconsiderations, appeals, payor secure messaging, adjustment requests, etc. Assigned A/R

greater than 90 days at less than 30% of total assigned A/R.

Process payor correspondence (mail and explanation of benefits) within five days of receipt.

Document all communication with patients and payors within the Information System.

Review payor bulletins to keep current on information regarding billing and reimbursement.

Discuss account status and insurance processing with patients.

Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and JMH policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

Performs additional duties as assigned by Billing Supervisor and/or JMH Administration.

While performing these duties, maintains professional continuous communication and positive

behaviors which supports JMH mission and values.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous insurance billing experience preferred.
