POSITION OVERVIEW:

Take inbound calls and assist patients and insurance companies in resolving patient account issues and inquiries. Must be bilingual in Spanish/English**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to ascertain correct demographic and insurance data and updates.
  • Processing payments, setting up payment plans, answering account questions, researching account issues and collecting unpaid debt
  • Assists patients and insurance companies to resolve patient account issues and inquiries.
  • Review insurance, EOBs, and patient responsibilities with patients and conducting financial investigations as necessary.
  • Responsible for collection and processing of patient correspondence and payments.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Must have patient accounts experience
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle processes from front desk registration through insurance adjudication.
  • Detailed understanding on how to read and interpret EOB's and denials from all insurance carriers including the financial components such as co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance.
  • Excellent systems experience and acuity whether EMR and Billing/Collection Systems.
  • Ability to coordinate communication with service providers to resolve patient account issues
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Experience level: 3+ years.
