ECLI-VIBES is searching for an ardent supporter of the community to become our new Bilingual Court Advocate. This individual will provide immediate crisis intervention support, options, and safety planning to survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and more. They will be expected to collaborate with the legal department to guarantee effective protocols and procedures are implemented, and provide technical assistance to other staff members in other departments on legislative, court, and legal advocacy. Our ideal candidate nurtures effective communication with clients as well as staff, promotes community change through grassroots, community-led and responsive advocacy, and is capable of building partnerships with service providers who support survivors of trauma in the public and private sector. We would love for you to have experience navigating the criminal and family court system and drafting family pro se offense petitions (i.e. orders of protections, custody petitions, etc).

Required Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (written, verbal and listening)

• Good judgment, strong interpersonal and relationship skills
• Ability to maintain the integrity and core value standards of our agency
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage a full caseload
• Understanding of Google Suite offerings (Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar)

ECLI-VIBES uses a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach to provide comprehensive, high-quality services to all survivors of trauma. In an effort to stabilize the survivor, staff will connect and access resources that address safe housing, food insecurity, and safety needs by guiding and empowering the survivor in navigating the system and understanding their rights. The short-term goal is to address the symptoms of trauma long-term goal to address the underlying issues (compound trauma) in an effort to break the cycle of violence for good.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
