BI and Software Developer

Job Description

Using Microsoft’s Power BI tool, design and develop new BI reports and dashboards based on clients’ requirements using a variety of database schemes. In addition, maintain and enhance existing BI reports and dashboards.

As a software developer, you might be asked to develop software applications

Location

Remote.

Flexible hours however there are usually standard client and Mustang weekly meetings that must be attended.

The candidate’s work location must have high-speed, reliable Internet connection for webinars and client meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Collect requirements from clients for reports, dashboards, and/or software applications

· Collaborate with clients for report and dashboard design and functionality

· When requested, provide estimates to develop and modify reports and dashboards

· Develop Microsoft Power BI reports/dashboards using DAX, Power Query, and SQL

· Develop and debug SQL queries.

· Develop and debug Power Query source code

· Develop and debug DAX source code

· Test and verify results

· Troubleshoot report and dashboard anomalies for both new and existing reports and dashboards

· Provide support and guidance to clients while developing reports

· Submit bi-monthly timesheets to Mustang for each client

· Provide weekly status updates on projects

Minimum Qualifications

· Candidate must be a US Citizen and US-based

· 3 years of experience developing Microsoft Power BI reports

· Strong knowledge of SQL

· Strong knowledge of DAX

· Strong knowledge of Power Query

· Excellent troubleshooting skills

· Strong knowledge of relational databases

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Extremely organized with great attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and manage their time and their projects

Other Valuable Qualifications

· Experience with Oracle Primavera Products such as P6, Unifier, and OPC

· Oracle BI Publisher Report Development Experience

· Experience with developing software applications using Microsoft’s development tools such as C#, .NET, and Visual Studio

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field

· Power BI Power Query Language

· SQL Languange

· Understand database designs and structures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
