We have an amazing Opportunity right now as a Bench Repair Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various repair and rework operations on a variety of gas turbine subassemblies and related detail parts.
• Setup and operate drill presses or small lathes.
• Use a variety of hand held and stationary tools and equipment to perform cleaning, lapping, deburring, honing, blending, and polishing operations.
• Use a variety of fixed or hand held gages or measuring instruments to check fits, alignments, clearances, or other specific requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Basic machine shop equipment operating knowledge and training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technical school - machine shop
• Prior mechanical experience
• Experience in rotating components and cycle 3 & 4 support areas
• Ability to work from drawing, manuals, specifications and detailed instructions and use a variety of measuring instruments
• Must possess normal dexterity
• Must be able to use decimals and fractions and complete basic machine shop related mathematical calculations

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
