Living Resources is seeking Behavioral Support Technicians (BST) for our Group homes and Schenectady Site Base Day Program. Our current needs are Full -Time and various shifts are available. Our Behavioral Support Technicians support individuals with their daily activities, including personal care. BST's work closely with the individuals we support to help them achieve personal goals that allow them to live as independently as possible.

This position involves enhanced training in the area of behavioral health and ID/DD population under the supervision of Clinical Services. Upon completion of this training module, the staff will perform duties in addition to their already established direct service roles. These services include:

Assist and support staff in developing and providing proactive and interactive behavioral strategies.

Ensure Behavioral Support Plans are followed and where applicable provide clarification of strategies as well as role modeling.

Assist the clinician assigned to the setting in maintaining a seamless flow of behavioral data that is relevant and timely.

Assist in taking individuals to psychiatric appointments and sharing relevant data and insights regarding overall mental status.

Maintain weekly interaction with the clinician assigned to the setting.

Attend Clinical Department meetings 1x monthly.

Participate in ongoing behavioral health training both in-house and with outside training opportunities.

The position will continue to report to their immediate residential supervisor but on all things related to behavior and behavioral health, the BST will consult with the clinician assigned to the setting during weekly interactions as well as use the monthly clinical meetings to seek feedback and suggestions regarding challenging cases.
