GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the provision of clinical therapeutic services; assessments and providing ongoing individual and group counseling services. Must be able to develop treatments plans that are measurable, use best practices, and indicate significant participation by the person served in the treatment plan documentation and in the delivery of services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED with behavioral health experience and/or willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling more than 100 pounds, and requires frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Good visual and auditory acuity as well as good manual dexterity and the ability to be readily understood are essential. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. May be exposed to biohazards and chemicals per Safety policies including hazardous waste and infection control.

· Employee will participate in specific activities for the promotion of self-growth or the enhancement of professional image

· Employee will meet attendance requirements for meetings

· Employee will participate in continuing education/other job related training
