SUMMARY:

  • Responsible for development and implementation of psychological services in ICF's and IRA's. Position requires "hands on" participant contact in both a counseling and physical capacity (SCIP). Develop behavior support plans, behavior protocols, and medication monitoring plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess and develop behavioral programs and/or guidelines for residents in a residential setting.
  • Conduct observations and train staff in managing target behaviors and plans.
  • Review and maintain current consents for psychotropic medications and restrictive behavior interventions.
  • Prepare a written and verbal presentation to the Human Rights Committee.
  • Meet with the Residence Psychiatrist on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor all program plans and make necessary revisions on a timely basis.
  • Prepare a written progress report and participate in quarterly and special clinical meetings.
  • Review and update other documentation i.e. CFA, DDP2, Self Preservation Assessment at least annually.
  • Assist the team in the screening of perspective candidates for possible residential placement.
  • Assist other programs with Behavioral Management Techniques as needed.
  • Provide in-service training to all employees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters Degree in Psychology and/or BCBA certification is preferred.
  • Consideration will be given to those who possess a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and at least two years of experience in the field of working with the special need population.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
