Housed in the historic Piano Building in the heart of the vibrant community of Bird Rock, Paradisaea is a destination restaurant and bar that San Diegans frequent for craveable and accessible fare executed at the highest level.

Paradisaea Restaurant is currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our opening team! We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Paradisaea Brand Standards for service

• Active engagement and ownership in continuing education and development of the craft and elements of hospitality

• Detailed knowledge and articulation of menus (beverage and food) and site-specific elements
• Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Helps guests select food and beverages by suggesting items, explaining the menu, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
• Able to navigate guests through the menus and guide them based on desires or dietary restrictions.
• Ability to learn and master Toast, the point-of-sale (POS) computer system.
• Participate as a team player with other key team members, participating in on-site and off-site events, and creative contribution.
• Additional duties as necessary and assigned

Requirements:

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Certifications in San Diego County Food Protection License and Responsible Beverage Server Certification required.
• Restaurant experience: 5 years (Preferred)
• US work authorization

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
