Responsibilities:

As a Barista at the Clawson Café, some of your duties will include delivering the perfect beverage that exceeds customer expectations with your ability to engage, build rapport, listen, and provide friendly, fast service as you go through a tailored order creating approach. Ensure that the Café is welcoming to all customers by having a stocked bake case and neatly displayed merchandise. Execute all operational standards correctly, in a timely manner and in accordance with the café standards, safety and health codes. Work in the Café which requires physical activity (i.e., prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, climbing, operating espresso machines), and sales floor when needed. You will operate a POS system/cash register, coffee and espresso brewing equipment, and interact with a high-volume of customers while assisting them with their orders in a fast-paced environment. Your job will be to provide the customer with exceptional fast and friendly service. You will assist with cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, tools, and equipment. You will need to obtain a food handler's certification.

The approximate pay range for this position is $15.50. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license alongside an insurable driving record. Baristas must possess the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with a hand truck. Candidates will be required to walk/ stand for long periods. Candidates need to be able to work alone. Candidates must be able to work weekends. Professional appearance and work ethic. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Creating Good Customer relationships and having a good customer base. Treat customers as the first priority at all times. Take initiative and consistently grow and expands café knowledge. Enjoy making recommendations and engaging with others.
