Westwood Country Club was founded in 1954 and is a member-owned, full-service, family-oriented club that has been established to provide its membership with outstanding recreational, dining, and social opportunities. Westwood Country Club is a 157-acre property with an elegantly appointed clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, a tennis facility (indoor and outdoor courts), fitness center and a swimming facility. Westwood offers a superior location on Maple Avenue, near Tyson’s Corner.

Westwood Country Club has just finished construction in expanding its fine dining restaurant and banquet area.

Westwood is ready to expand its team for a memorable event for our members and guests.

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide food & beverage service to all members & guests’, while also creating & providing excellent & memorable member experiences. Banquet employees are tasked with many duties including but not limited to the following.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing all members with an exceptional dining experience
• Thorough knowledge & understanding of event details and menus
• Ability to work cohesively with team members
• Utilization of proper food handling & service techniques
• Performing all side work duties before & after shift
• Set up and break down of events
• Building rapport & relationships with all members with the ability to greet them by name
• Remain calm in high stress situations
• Understand how to properly resolve problems to the member or guest complete satisfaction, and notifying management when issues arise
• Ensuring satisfaction from the moment a member steps through the door

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2* years’ Banquet/Catering or Upscale Dining preferred*
• Country Club experience is preferred but not required
• Wine, Beer & Alcohol knowledge is necessary
• Ability to remain organized & professional in all situations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
