Banquet Attendants*
The Banquet Attendant or Houseperson will work private and club events including physical set-up, preparation, service, tear-down and clean-up of all banquet events, executing turnovers to meet deadlines. Banquet Attendants will set quality tables and serve first class meals to Club members and their guests according to well-established rules of etiquette. Banquet Attendants will follow specific Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans to ensure accuracy of the set-up and ensure all the requests and expectations of the member sponsoring an event are met, that their guests receive the first-class service the club is known for and that all food and beverage needs are met. These Banquet Attendants will be experienced individuals capable of working events of all types and sizes, both indoors and out, as well rotating amongst the Clubs restaurants. Customer service experts with deep knowledge of the clubs services, facilities and standards, they will maintain the cleanliness and eye appeal of the banquet space. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant customer interaction and strong attention to detail to ensure that private events are flawlessly executed for our members and their guests. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, sometimes outdoors, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Position Qualifications: *

  • Two years previous food and beverage experience in a similar luxury environment
  • Knowledge of food, wine and fine dining service standards; able to use a wine opener
  • A service-oriented personality; possessing a pleasant and caring manner with everyone; warm, friendly and outgoing without being overbearing
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders in English; to follow oral and written instructions and to memorize necessary information
  • A team player able to work well with others
  • Punctual and reliable, able to juggle multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to work weekends, holidays and long hours on short notice
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by Management
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish, Current Food Handler and TIPS Certification, High School diploma and CPR Certified preferred
