• Monthly review, reconciliation, and accounting for financial activity, including:
• Security investments
• Purchased loans
• Leases
• Mortgage servicing rights
• New market tax credits
• Preparation of the quarterly financial statement consolidation
• Performance of various internal control requirements for FDICIA
• Support the review, completion, and analysis of financial activity, including:
• Annual budget, forecast and variance analysis
• Tax provision, estimated payments and returns
• Asset & Liability modeling and analysis
• Support development and maintenance of an updated cost center and general ledger structure within our FIS operating and reporting system
• Support development and utilization of data analytics to measure bank performance and drive improvements in operations and results
• Support implementation and maintenance of key software utilized by the finance team
• Work as a team member and foster a team environment with all levels of Bank management and employees.
• Actively participate in strategic initiatives of the Finance department and Bank
• Recommend improvements in Finance department activities, Bank operations and performance, and provide support to department managers in implementing improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related field.
• Two or more years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or auditing.
• Experience working in public accounting or with financial institutions a plus, but not required.
• Certified public accountant or plan to earn a CPA certification.
• Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Work experience or familiarity with advanced Microsoft excel capabilities including functions such as vlookup, pivot tables and sumif, along with the ability to process complicated data sets and information and create graphs for reporting and analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft word, powerpoint and outlook.
• Experience or familiarity with data analytics software a plus.
