POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility is to ensure safe and secure flight scheduling. This role interfaces with aircraft users, flight department personnel and third-party vendors in the handling and accomplishing of complex and sometimes problematic travel needs of our executives and their guests. In addition, scheduling aircrafts in accordance with Flight Operation Manual (FOM), Sony Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supporting safety of flight by using knowledge of FAA regulation, aircraft performance and destination airport details. Assists the Office Manager in operations of the flight department office and assumes duties of office in their absence. This position will also accomplish duties as assigned by Office Manager and Chief Pilot. Lastly, they will coordinate, and process requests and compiles reports required by other departments of SCA (i.e., tax, accounting, and payroll).
This is a remote role requiring the Aviation Scheduler to work business hours in Eastern Standard Time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule Sony aircraft and crews to meet the travel needs of company executives and their guests.
  • Monitors trip progress for delays or possible diversions and relays to user’s office as necessary.
  • Coordinates charter aircraft if needed to supplement Sony fleet requirements and performs background checks utilizing ARG/US.
  • Data input and entry, creates crew trip sheets from complied data and enters post flight data in scheduling program (PFM) database.
  • Coordinates aircraft schedules to include, crew availability, acceptable destinations and passenger special needs and requests.
  • Compile and distribute monthly usage reports to aircraft users.
  • Participate as member of Aviation Department Safety Committee and actively participate in the Safety Management System and Security Program as defined in the FOM.
  • After hours on call responsibilities as schedule demands.
Perform Administrative collateral duties that include:
  • Process a variety of letters, memos, and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Record all Flight Department personnel expenses from Concur in PFM.
  • Code incoming invoices for approval prior to submitting to SCA SAP for payment.
  • Audit monthly accounting summaries and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Answer emails in a prompt and courteous manner and provide information in accordance with organization policy.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Office Supervisor and Chief Pilot.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
  • Prior corporate flight scheduling experience with a corporate flight department desirable preferred or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Possess computer skills that include Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with aircraft scheduling software systems.,
  • Professional Flight Management capabilities and experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations.

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $70,000 – 80,000 . The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for . The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
