The B-Tech position wages are based on a flat-rate program.

Flag rate wages are based on applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and follow dealership procedures.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete assigned training as directed by the supervisor, funded by the dealership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• One year minimum of Service Technician experience at a B-Level or above
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent work/education combination
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Candidates must have the necessary hand tools to perform the job
• ASE Certification required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Experience working at an automotive dealership is desired
• Demonstrated career progression in automotive repair and service procedures
• Ability to read and comprehend specification sheets and automotive work manuals
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
