Job Description
Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead campus, is accepting applications for
temporary part-time Automotive Services Technology Instructor to begin spring semester 2022 through this 22-23 academic year, as a sabbatical replacement.
Responsibilities:
Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:
- Instructional planning and delivery;
- Teaching and facilitating student learning;
- Assessment of student performance at course level;
- Classroom management;
- Maintenance of professional skills and credentials;
- Participation in department meetings.
Required Qualifications
Education Requirement:
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
Occupational Experience Requirement:
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
Recency Requirement:
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years
Professional Requirement:
- Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college;
- Experience with learning communities or team teaching;
- Experience in curriculum development and academic partnerships;
- Experienced in integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction;
- Experience teaching a diverse student population.

In addition, partnerships with our regional educational service cooperatives, Lakes Country Service Cooperative and Sourcewell, help us to work collectively to enhance opportunities for diverse stakeholders.
