New Car Franchise is seeking an experienced Full Time Automotive License and Title for a high volume dealership. The ideal candidate for the license and title clerk position will have strong organizational and communication skills and understand the importance of detail. Must have experience in used car titles, out-of-state titles, wholesale titles, lien releases, power of attorneys, ST-556 amendments, IL sales tax, out-of-state purchasers, out of state county and state taxes, and CVR.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process title and registration on sold vehicles. Review for accuracy and completeness, including verification of VIN numbers, odometer readings and all customer information
• Verify that funds have been collected and correct lien holder has been listed
• Utilize CVR online system including paying state sales tax and posting previous day bundles
• Prepare title work for sold out of state vehicles and submit to DMV
• Follow up on missing titles
• Apply for duplicate and corrected titles when needed
• Apply for ST-556 amendments when needed
• Must be able to handle customer inquiries, L&T and title issues
• Maintain inventory pertaining to L& T plates, stickers, odometer statements and POA's
• Maintain License and title schedule
• Maintain constant communication with F&I Managers and Sales team of title regulations and any changes to procedures.
• Bill out Wholesale and Dealer trades
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

Requirements for Eligibility:

• Previous license and title experience is a MUST
• Proficiency with CDK/ADP accounting software
• Knowledge of CVR a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and be able to manage time effectively
• Must be focused and dependable

Job Type: Full-time
