We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician / Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, experience operating tow trucks and assisting with roadside assistance services preferred but will train the right candidate. As an integral member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing prompt and efficient service to our customers while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and recommend appropriate repairs and services
• Operate and maintain tow trucks and other equipment used for roadside assistance services
• Provide prompt and efficient towing and roadside assistance services to customers
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Automotive Technician certification or equivalent experience
• Experience operating and maintaining tow trucks and other roadside assistance equipment
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on-call and weekends as needed

• Must be at least 21 years old
• A minimum of two (2) years verifiable driving experience; OR one (1) year of car hauling experience
• Must successfully pass the DOT pre-employment drug screen
• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable previous employment history
• No previous history of suspension, revocation or cancellation of driving privilege, as a result of moving traffic violations or vehicle accidents within the past 3 years
• Must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public
• Must meet all requirements within Section 391 of the FMCSR. Section 391 includes but is not limited to:
• Motor vehicle record
• Background check with previous employer(s)
• Road test
• Medical
• Request for information from previous employer on alcohol and controlled substance testing
• No previous history of conviction or forfeiture of bond for the following offenses while operating a motor vehicle:
• Leaving the scene of an accident
• Using motor vehicle to commit a felony
• Under the influence of drugs or in the possession of drugs
• Under the influence of alcohol within the past 3 years or at any time while operating a CMV
• No combination of three (3) or more moving violations, convictions or preventable accidents in the past 36 months
• No involvement in a preventable rear-end accident within the last two (2) years'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Omro, WI 54963: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:
