- You would assist Hampton’s sales, resources, transportation, and sawmill divisions with transactions and document review, including in particular real estate transactions. The position would also help manage Hampton’s corporate records and filings, and would help track and oversee outside litigation efforts.
- You would also be asked to engage new issues and areas of law, research legal questions, and help find solutions to complex business problems.
- The ideal candidate would have three to five years of commercial transactional experience, including real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, easements, and general familiarity with corporate structure and formalities.
- 3-5 years of commercial transactional experience in the Pacific Northwest, including financing, title review, and preparation of deeds, easements, licenses and similar instruments.
- Bar licensed in the Pacific Northwest.
- The ability to draft short-form agreements starting from a blank sheet of paper;
- A feel for transactional trade-offs and risk management;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Detail orientation and pride in work;
- Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance;
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn;
- Self-motivation and desire to build a positive reputation; and
