The Adirondack North Country Sports Council is the organizing committee for the upcoming FISU World University Winter Games in beautiful Lake Placid during January 2023! We also organize various multi-sport events in the local area. It is an exciting time to join our TEAM!

Position Engagement Period: 1/02/23 to 1/25/23

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Deliver all required athlete/delegation services elements as directed, including staffing Resident Services Desk, monitoring bookable spaces and oversight of village assets.
• Assist in accommodation services including access control, oversight of credentials and day passes.
• Utilize culturally sensitive judgement to guide interactions at all times
• Ability to travel within region assigned.
• Complete other activities and tasks not yet assigned.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Previous events experience
• Prior guest relations experience
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational and/or Training requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven and/or unmaintained terrain in all kinds of weather conditions, and comfortable working inside and outside for extended periods of time in preparation for the Games and during the Games.
• Comfortably perform in winter weather condition typical for a winter games setting
• Able to lift 40 pounds throughout a shift
