At Terumo Cardiovascular, we develop, manufacture and distribute medical devices for cardiac and vascular surgery with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary bypass, intra-operative monitoring and vascular grafting. This includes a full-line of perfusion products, endoscopic vessel harvesting products and surgical stabilization products.

Job Summary
This position is responsible to provide support to the engineering team through product testing approaches. Will include researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying the appropriate test methods.
Job Details/Responsibilities
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Contribute to developing test methods for evaluation of medical device components and products in feasibility and development.
3. Execute protocols, evaluate findings, and complete data collection processes to assess products and components against defined acceptance criteria.
4. Document experimental data/observations in technical notebooks (or approved electronic files), prepare reports and presentations as required.
5. Set up and operate laboratory equipment and instruments. Provide routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
6. Maintain the laboratory spaces and inventory level, ensuring proper storage of chemicals and proper waste disposal of chemicals.
7. Develop and maintain knowledge of the medical device industry, including understanding of current technologies and trends related to test methods.
8. Adhere to and support safety standards.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Requires a two-year college degree in a science related discipline. Experience in a regulated environment preferred. Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.
