We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to serve as the Associate Teacher (AT) for the Student Support Center. Check out the duties and qualifications below!
DUTIES:
1. Assist the Student Support Center (SSC) teacher by providing IEP/testing accommodations services to students individually, in small groups and/or test proctoring.
2. Assist with tutoring of students in the SSC and in classrooms.
3. Perform duties of a substitute teacher as needed.
4. Possess basic computer skills.
5. Perform other duties related to specific programs as directed by the SSC teacher or administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. New York State Teaching Assistant certification must be obtained through the New York State Office of Teaching Initiatives, within the guidelines for CTE Certification, in collaboration with Human Resources.
2. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
3. Experience working with high school aged students preferred.
4. Work collaboratively with team members to effectively support all students.
5. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with adults and students.
6. Physically able to perform all duties required of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
