The Archdiocese of Baltimore Department of Catholic Schools, seeks an Associate Superintendent to join our team beginning in July 2023. The Associate Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of supporting assigned school(s). In concert with the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, supervises Archdiocesan school leadership to ensure strong Catholic identity, academic and programmatic excellence and a strategic vision to address long-term viability and sustainability of Archdiocesan schools. The Associate acts as the liaison with the Maryland State Department of Education, Maryland Catholic Conference, and the Council for American Private Education.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in full communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church and hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in educational administration/supervision.

Other qualifications include:

• A minimum of 5 years as an Administrator/educator in a Catholic school and/or institution of higher learning sensitive to the needs of racially and ethnically diverse communities
• Knowledge of current trends in Catholic education PK-12
• Ability to align resources and materials related to the development of curriculum and the methodology of teaching
• Skilled in working with a highly qualified and professional school leadership teams; excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong desire to operate collaboratively in a team environment
