Pearson VUE’s proposal team is a close-knit group that highly values teamwork and collaboration. The Associate Proposal Analyst is a key support role for the proposal team, and is an ideal opportunity for highly organized individuals that enjoy writing and editing.

As part of the proposal team, the Associate Proposal Analyst will work closely with the Senior Proposal Analysts, Proposal Analysts, and Proposal Coordinator, along with certain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Business Development, and other key staff to develop and deliver high-quality, compelling proposals in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

The Associate Proposal Analyst’s primary responsibilities are two-fold:

(1) maintain and grow our proposal boilerplate text library (2) provide support to the team’s proposal analysts throughout the entire proposal process. Once fully acclimated to the position, the Associate Proposal Analyst will have opportunities to write proposals and manage bid processes.

The Associate Proposal Analyst will bring exceptional writing and editing skills; organizational/administrative skills; and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, quickly, and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Boilerplate Library
  • Write new proposal text.
  • Edit existing text, incorporating feedback.
  • Request information from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Perform file management using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Support Proposal Analysts
  • Assist with proposal development.
  • Perform administrative and editorial tasks e.g., completion of forms and proposal appendices.
  • Proposal Development
  • Conduct kickoff meetings with relevant team members.
  • Develop proposals based on existing templates.
  • Edit and proofread proposal text during the proposal writing stage.
  • Other support activities.
  • Support the Proposal Manager as needed with projects, reporting, and research.
  • Support state regulatory team efforts by checking procurement sites for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Serve as a backup to the Proposal Coordinator for proposal production.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Business, or similar degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years demonstrated in writing, editing, or related experience and/or business administration experience.
  • Above average writing and editing skills required.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and produce high-quality and accurate work under time constraints.
  • Strong PC Skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with SharePoint, PDF Editors, and Lucidchart a plus.
  • Time management, planning and project management skills

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range is between $50,000 - $60,0000.
