Key Responsibilities:
Technical Operations Supply Chain team is seeking a detail-oriented project manager to provide support to the Parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA) and Owner Operator Produced Parts (OOPP) Development group. Project manager will review data to support PMA/OOPP documentation and maintain a workflow to approve alternate parts packages in a timely and efficient manner. This is the entry position in our PMA & OOPP engineering progression path.

Work with PMA/OOPP suppliers to verify that FAA-approved alternate materials are incorporated into the Company's technical manuals
Develop alternate materials with PMA/OOPP suppliers that further business and cost-reduction strategies
Facets of United's Supply Chain include but are not limited to Aircraft Line Operations, Component Repair Vendor and Airframe Service providers
Study, analyze, and seek solutions within a multi-departmental team for reliability issues related to design, operation, performance, modification, or repair of UAL Aircraft using PMA/OOPP suppliers to develop alternate material solutions

What’s needed to succeed (Required Qualifications):
Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or related field
Principles of project management
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelors in aerospace, mechanical, civil or electrical engineering
One to two years of design engineering work
PMLC
Experience with FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval Process and Owner Operator Produced Parts process
Dimensional and material analysis of aircraft materials
Reverse engineering experience
Large Transport Category Aircraft System Knowledge
Experience with a airline maintenance information systems
Familiarity with airline operations, terminology and process
