Job description
The Associate Director of Sports Performance is responsible for management, direction and oversight of all aspects of a competitive, progressive strength and conditioning programs for football, women’s basketball, and women’s tennis. Coordinate and implement, plan and manage all in-season and out-of-season player development and strength conditioning including both team and individual programming.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement, plan and manage all in-season and out-of-season player 60% development and strength conditioning
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of Ken Biel Performance Center
- Management of Sports Performance internship program
- Provide guidance to coaches when planning pre-game and post-game meals and consult with coaching staff regarding seasonal nutrition
- Manage Valpo Athletics Sports Performance websites as well as the YouTube channel
- Assist coaches with choosing training programs outside of Valpo Athletics to ensure health and safety of student-athletes and verify proper certifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 2 years of experience preferably at the collegiate level
- Must hold CSCCA certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
