Summary

The Associate, Asset Development will support onshore and offshore wind, hydrogen, and energy storage project development activities across our United States platform. Working as a key member of the asset development team, the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities supporting senior developers and technology sector leads to advance renewable energy projects and assess new opportunities.

The Associate, Asset Development will support onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen and energy storage project development activities across our United States platform. Working as a key member of the asset development team, the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities relevant to project development such as opportunity assessment, due diligence, business case, and technical support including engineering and project design, site control, permitting, and interconnection of projects as they advance from inception to construction hand-off. This person will support senior developers and technology sector leads in moving their projects through the development lifecycle and engage with other internal and external subject matter experts and functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all project development efforts including opportunity assessment, due diligence, business case, and technical support including engineering and project design, site control, permitting, and interconnection
  • Manage external consultants as project manager with strict adherence to scope / schedule / budgets for assigned development projects
  • Collaborate with internal commercial, financial, legal, engineering, and construction subject matter experts
  • Participate in project acquisition due diligence processes
  • Participate in preparing and presenting business cases for projects that are selected for investment and support project financing
  • Prepare and manage scope / schedule / budgets for the assigned development projects;

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant energy industry experience gained in roles such as project development and M&A, project design / engineering, advisory, or other relevant positions with a focus on large-scale renewables (preferred) or other large infrastructure projects
  • Strong commercial, analytical, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple and evolving priorities
  • Demonstrate a strong alignment with corporate values and platform strategy, as well as health, safety and environment
  • Ability to travel as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred, in relevant disciplines (e.g. business, engineering, other)
  • Experience in MS Office suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
