We are seeking an Assistant RN Unit Manager to assist the Unit Manager in ensuring that each patient receives treatments, medication, and diet as prescribed, and rehabilitative nursing care as needed, receives proper care to prevent decubitus ulcers and deformities, and is kept comfortable, clean, well-groomed and protected from accidents, injury, and infections.

Assistant RN Unit Managers are the first supervisory level in the nursing series responsible for assisting a Unit Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assignment and review of work, personnel management, and administration of effective discipline recommendations are among the duties.
• Assist with the day-to-day clinical operations of a patient care unit or service on a designated shift.
• Ensure that residents receive the highest standard of patient-centered care.
• Coordination with other medical staff to guarantee that patients receive high-quality care.
• Maintaining a high standard of nursing care in accordance with regulations and standards.
• Directing the nursing staff by giving them direction and instruction on their particular roles.
• Providing medical treatment to patients under the direction of a physician
• Ensuring that the nursing staff is knowledgeable about all facets of patient care and is well-trained.
• Responding to patient comments or grievances on the standard of service or other problems.
• Participating in routine meetings with medical professionals and other staff members to discuss patient cases.
• Making sure patients are at ease, safe, and receiving exceptional care by continuously monitoring staff members' performance.

Education

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

• Must have, as a minimum, one year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or another related healthcare facility.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
