The organization provides a broad scope of products and services through the ownership, development, and operation of cemeteries and funeral homes in multiple states. Customers are able to plan and pre-purchase their burial plot, casket or urn, vault, mausoleum space, and other details connected to a burial.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the attainment of assigned sales quotas by overseeing sales and service at a specific location to maximize sales.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to all assigned Sales Staff to ensure the highest quality servicing of existing customers.
  • Provides training of all assigned sales staff to ensure the best possible results from presentations to current and potential customers.
  • On a daily basis, reviews prior days results and appointments to provide recommendations on issues that may have surfaced.
  • May meet with clients both on and off site to develop Family History Folder, including listing of Association and Clubs deceased was a member of, pallbearers, and all family members.
  • Directly assigns all Family Service employees on a regular or rotating basis, ensuring coverage at all times.
  • Ensures staff is providing at-need clients with all options and services available, including tours of the site and plot locations.
  • Responds to routine and non-routine problems, as they occur within the Site and as they may impact and involve coordination and solutions with other departments at that location.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required with some other education preferred in a related areas such as Business, Marketing and Sales. One to two years of direct sales experience, preferably in the Cemetery industry, or 2-3 years experience outside the industry. At least one year of supervisory or management experience, preferably within a sales capacity.
  • Work is both non-standardized and standardized, involving some variables that may require advice and / or counsel from the Sales Manager. Analytic ability and independent judgment are required to address issues or problems in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate.
  • Ability to implement new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Effectively and quickly completes tasks and assignments and meets deadlines.
  • Must be honest in abiding by company policies and procedures.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Must possess a valid state drivers license.
