Our award-winning, high-volume restaurant, The Grain House, is in search of adynamic, charismatic Assistant Manager to oversee its daily operations. The qualified candidate is customer oriented, self-driven and has demonstrated experience in managing staff talent and growing revenue. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • “Close” and “Open” Restaurant
  • Assisting with Controlling operational costs and promoting efficiency.
  • Ensuring staff complies with company policy and procedures
  • Assisting with managing all personnel issues
  • General administration (i.e., scheduling, record keeping/entering payroll data)
  • Training Front of House Staff, using the guidelines outlined in the manuals
  • Maintaining safety and food quality standards
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Running a pre-shift meeting at each meal period to issue specials, go over any concerns, the nights happenings and answer any questions
  • Program Micros for Specials
  • Plotting and confirming all reservations during assigned meal period
  • Liaison between kitchen and servers
  • Ability to assist staff in all areas of the restaurant
  • Report on items sold and report information to help adjust menu’s as needed.

Qualification/ skills:

  • Proven success in a high-volume restaurant (Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines).
  • Excellent customer service skills with attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships, especially with local guests and staff.
  • Strong passion for culinary excellence, wine knowledge, and service
  • Strong leadership abilities—proven ability to develop a team
  • Good communication skills (excellent written and verbal communication skills)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends, and holidays

Educational:

  • College Degree in Restaurant Management or equivalent work experience.
  • * F&B Management - 2 years (Preferred) * Food Handler Certification (Required)
