Position Summary: The primary function of this position is to provide Supervision for plant production activities including but not limited to: Formulating, Bottling, Packaging, Pelletizing, Blending, DOT, Safety, Inventory and Quality Control of all products received or produced at the Pasco Site. Role is developmental to advance to the Plant Manager position.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all plant operations for safe, compliant, and efficient production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving, as well as coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental leads to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Acquire knowledge and understanding of all production lines and formulations to adequately support production operations at the Pasco Site
  • Provide leadership and direct the activities of the hourly production staff, monitor KPI performance with periodic feed-back communication meetings, monitor and correct job performance, lead daily safety and production execution meetings and maintain HAZCOM standards
  • Interpret specifications, job orders, as well as company policies and procedures for production workers
  • Participate in operations business team with corporate planning, procurement and commercial members
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of pertinent regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics and refrigerants
  • Gain proficient understanding and be capable of supervising employees in areas of Plant Production Processes including, but not limited to: Materials, Mixing, Packaging, Dry Production, Pelletizing, Quality Control, Receiving, and Distribution of all products
  • Maintain DOT certification for shipping hazardous chemicals
  • Warehouse and storage of materials in an orderly and consistent manner, ensuring segregation of raw materials based on hazard classification and finished goods
  • Maintain housekeeping practices in the plant to a high standard to ensure safety and quality standards can be achieved
  • Work with production leads to ensure sufficient supply of raw material inventory consistently meets appropriate demand
  • Year End Inventory reconciliation with ERP
  • Project support for new start-ups of products specifically assigned by Plant Manager
  • Quality – right the first time by checking mixing packaging, labels and pallets on the floor while being made
  • Oversee Plant safety program on the floor to insure employees are working in a manner consistent with training, injury reporting, and assuring plant environment is accessible and safe for employees, customers, and public
  • Conduct and record lab analysis of manufactured products (QA/QC)
  • Ability to be fit tested and don a mask
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum work experience of 8 years full time exempt
  • BA, BS or associate degree or equivalent and relevant experience.
  • Highly competent in Dangerous Good Transportation regulations, SDS interpretation, Safe handling, and training for manufacturing of various chemicals and components.
  • Bilingual with English and Spanish preferred
