The HR Assistant Manager (HRAM), reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of HR Specialists with responsibilities for Employee Relations. This section is called Team Member Relation (TMR).

The HRAM will support the creation of an atmosphere in which Management and Team Members (TMs) can communicate openly with each other to support early detection and prevention of employee relations issues.

The HRAM will develop personal communication strategies that support building mutual trust and respect between TMs and the company.

The HRAM will support and communicate clearly the company’s purpose, values and objectives to foster a sense of excellence.

In addition, must fully understand employment laws and all company policies to provide support for both TMs and the company to operate appropriately, effectively, and in compliance with all legal statutes.

Responsibilities

1. Developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.

2. Ensuring your team goes to great efforts to develop fair policies/rules, communicate them clearly to all TMs and ensuring consistent application.

3. Leading the training of GLs and AMs on policies/rules to make sure they understand the philosophy behind them so that the leaders can explain to their TMs.

4. Establishing department KPIs and systems to track and visualize results.

5. Establishing credibility with all TMs by being their point of contact when they have a concern.

6. Building relationships with all employees in order to foster a more open and communicative environment that provides support to all employees in relation to understanding the company and its policies.

7. Gathering employee opinions to understand their concerns and address quickly to minimize morale impact.

8. Meets with employees to discuss questions or issues pertaining to company policies and/or labor issues and makes recommendations that effectively resolve problems, by using judgment consistent with company standards, policies, and procedures.

9. Understand all employment laws and standards and provide appropriate training and advice to Managers and TMs.

10. Execute other items upon request by the company.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.

2. 5 to 7 years’ experience in Human Resources Role.

3. (3) years or more leadership/supervisory experience.

4. (3) years or more in Employee Relations role.

5. Comprehensive understanding of all employment laws and standards.

6. Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills

7. Initiative-taking, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

8. Ability to analyze HR data to determine appropriate countermeasures based on the analysis.

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.), able to create documents, graphs, and databases.

10. Must be able to work overtime or outside typical business hours according to business needs.

11. Reasonable business travel required according to business needs.

Desirable Qualifications

12. Five (5) years or more experience working in manufacturing environment.

13. Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
