Born in Boise, Guru Donuts is a deliciously unique experience blending classic and seasonally rotated flavors. We take pride in using fresh, local ingredients to craft our made-from-scratch donuts. We make our unique glazes, fillings, creams and crumbs in-house - with ingredients you can pronounce. OVERVIEW

Our Assistant Manager is a key member of our management team and is primarily responsible for leading retail operations to uphold Guru’s quality standards and exceptional customer experience. This position supervises and directs the retail team in delivering fast, efficient and friendly service, leads training of the retail team (barista, product knowledge, cleanliness etc.) and works closely with the Retail Manager & Director of Operations.

WHAT GURU NEEDS

We are looking for an Assistant Manager who will be a long-term member of the team here at Guru. We need a team member who will effectively lead our retail operations and drive the growth of our work culture and exceptional customer experience. We need someone who is passionate about interacting with customers and leading teams in creating the highest quality products, developing new products/experiences and wants opportunities to learn and grow with Guru as part of our leadership team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Lead overall customer service, serving as the role model for customer service expectations. *Ability to oversee and perform all retail roles, including barista, deliveries, opening, and closing. *Lead training of new team members and maintain training documents to ensure training is completed to Guru quality and efficiency standards. *Oversee all matters of retail sales. *Maintain online order fulfillment *Execute and facilitate retail sales promotions, new product information and overall retail experience *Keeping team members focused and prioritizing important tasks *Maintain quality control for food and beverage, ensuring drink recipes and procedures are followed, and high quality standards and visual appeal. *Maintain retail sanitation standards throughout the store in the areas of store appearance, merchandise and equipment (including maintenance).

*Lead by example to promote the mission, culture and values of Guru *Excellent communication - observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources *Make decisions and solve problems quickly and efficiently - analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

*Must be detail oriented, be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative *Ability to manage retail operations independently and resources to continually maintain product quality, store appearance and customer satisfaction *Perform general physical activities with speed and efficiency that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and objects.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

*Retail and Barista experience preferred *Part or Full-time position *Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and be on your feet most of the work day.
