Magnolia Adhc in El Cajon, CA is looking for Kitchen Aide to join our strong team. We are located on 490 N. Magnolia Avenue. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

The primary role of the Kitchen Aide is to provide assistance to the Kitchen Manager in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures

Education: High School Degree or equivalent

Experience: 1 year food service experience in healthcare

• Schedule: M-F, 6 hours/day. 8:30am-3:00pm ( some days may vary )

Requirements:

*Competent verbal and written English skills. *Basic computer skills: excel, word, outlook *Must pass a Criminal Background Screening at time of hire *Must possess CPR/First Aid Certification *Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact *Ability to lift or pull up to 50lbs.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

*Work under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager to ensure that all food procedures are followed and documented in accordance with established policies. *Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis. *Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures. *Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed. *Order food supplies *Assist in checking diet orders before distribution *Assist with food service related paperwork

Qualifications

*Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. *Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. *Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. *Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. *Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties. *Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle participants based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

• Salary: $15.00-$16.00
