The Administrator is responsible for implementing and supervising the administrative polices and operations of a home and community support services agency and for administratively supervising the provision of all services to agency clients on a day-to-day basis, financial solvency, human resources, client relations and marketing.

Must meet at least one of the following:

Education:

Must have a high school diploma or a GED with at least one-year experience or training in caring for individuals with functional disabilities.

Must have completed two years of full-time study at an accredited college or university in a health-related field; or

Must be a licensed physician, registered nurse, licensed social worker, licensed therapist, or licensed nursing home administrator with at least one year of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as:

A home and community support services agency; a hospital; a nursing facility; a hospice; an outpatient rehabilitation center; a psychiatric facility; an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions; or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional disabilities; or

Must have a high school diploma or a general equivalency degree (GED) with at least two years of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting, such as: a home and community support services agency; a hospital; a nursing facility; a hospice; an outpatient rehabilitation center; a psychiatric facility; an intermediate care facility for individuals with an intellectual disability or related conditions; or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services for individuals with functional disabilities.

Duties:

  • Maintain licensure of the agency; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with representatives of state agency who survey and inspect the community.
  • Manage agency budget, prepare monthly financial analysis and cash flow.
  • Manage all human resources duties.
  • Conduct internal inspections; perform evaluations for quality improvement.
  • Supervise and manage team members.
  • Provide coaching and development to clerical and direct care employees.
  • Demonstrate professional manner to effectively deal with staff, families and community.
  • Make solid decisions regarding care, concerns and necessary improvements.
  • Engage others through change, transition and team building and being a champion for change.
  • Ability to train, mentor, supervise and monitor team and trends.
  • Prepare and monitor an annual departmental budget which addresses growth, marketing, equipment, personnel, inventories, supplies and other departmental costs.
